On Friday, August 23rd, the PRBA’s Community Service Committee assisted a community gathering in the facilities of Ciudad Lumen II, a residential project for senior citizens in the city of Guaynabo. Members of the PRBA Community Service Committee visited the residents and shared snacks, refreshments, and engaged in friendly dominos tournaments. All who assisted were able to come together to a table and engage in casual conversation.[caption id="attachment_2395" align="alignleft" width="300"]

José Lomeña playing domino with some of the residents.[/caption]Ciudad Lumen II was part of a joint effort between Mutual Development Service Corp. and DDD Group LLC to provide housing for 140 senior citizens, building 118 apartments with 1, 2, or 3 rooms. The first phase of Ciudad Lumen, Ciudad Lumen I, was the first project with a permit of green occupation of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit and with rent subsidies and funds provided by HOME in Puerto Rico.The Ciudad Lumen residents enjoy ample commune areas, a gym, children playing grounds, one parking per apartment and other amenities. It is located near the Tren Urbano station in the Martínez Nadal highway.
